Payment Terms

Version 2026-07-31 — effective 31 July 2026

These Payment Terms explain how paid subscriptions for BananaBoat Academy are billed, renewed, cancelled, and refunded. They supplement our Terms of Service. By confirming a paid plan in checkout or changing tier, you agree to these Payment Terms.

1. Who bills you

Paid plans are processed by our payment provider (currently Creem), who acts as merchant of record. Your payment method is charged by that provider. Prices shown on the Pricing page are for the plan named there and include VAT or other applicable sales tax where the provider collects it.

The subscription is tied to the verified email address on your BananaBoat Academy account. Receipts and billing notices are sent to that address (and any address the payment provider holds for you).

2. Billing cycle and renewal

Paid plans are billed in advance for each billing period (typically one calendar month).

Automatic renewal. Unless you cancel, your subscription renews at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, and your payment method is charged again. This is a recurring charge that continues until cancelled.

Plan changes. If you switch between Basic and Pro while subscribed, the change is handled through the payment provider (including any proration they apply). Your plan features and token allowance update according to the new tier once the change is confirmed.

3. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account area (Manage billing) or through the payment provider’s customer portal.

Effect of cancellation. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You keep paid-plan access until that period ends. The subscription then ends and does not renew. We do not pro-rate or refund the remainder of a paid period except where the law requires it.

4. Tokens and unused allowance

Paid plans include a monthly token allowance as described on the Pricing page and in the Terms of Service.

No restitution for unused tokens. Tokens that remain unused when a billing period ends, when you cancel, when you change tier, or when your subscription ends are not refunded, credited as cash, transferred, or carried over into a later period, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.

Token costs per action and plan allowances may change as described in the Terms of Service; material reductions for an active paid plan are notified in advance.

5. Failed payments and price changes

If a renewal payment fails, the payment provider may retry the charge. We may downgrade or suspend paid features until payment succeeds.

We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price increase applies to your subscription. You may cancel before the new price takes effect. Where the law requires express consent to a price change, we will ask for it.

6. Withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal as set out in section 7 of the Terms of Service. When you start a paid plan you may be asked to request immediate supply of the digital service and to acknowledge that you lose that right once supply has begun.

Outside that withdrawal right (and any other right the law requires), payments are generally non-refundable, including for unused tokens. Statutory guarantees for non-conforming digital services still apply — see the Terms of Service.

To ask about a refund or withdrawal, email [email protected].
